The scope of the Georgia GIS Coordinating Committee (GISCC) Outreach subcommittee includes statewide outreach and public involvement; outreach and liaison with the regional FGDC and with neighboring states; marketing the mission and accomplishments of the GISCC; and educating public officials on the value and potential of GIS.

The scope of the Georgia GIS Coordinating Committee (GISCC) Education and Outreach Subcommittee includes statewide outreach and public involvement; outreach and liaison with the regional FGDC and with neighboring states; marketing the mission and accomplishments of the GISCC; and educating public officials on the value and potential of GIS.

Subcommittee is made up of volunteers from GISCC members with a Subcommittee chair who is also a member of the GISCC Executive Committee.

The Strategic Plans and Policies subcommittee oversees the update and extension of the GISCC Strategic and Business plans, develops the GISCC and Clearinghouse budgets and financing plans, and formulates policies to guide operations of the GISCC and implementation of the Georgia Spatial Data Infrastructure (GaSDI).

The Framework Management subcommittee oversees framework themes, including transportation, boundaries, hydrography, imagery, wetlands and landuse/cover. Currently the only active subgroup is NextGen 911.
